What to bring with you
Five minutes of preparation saves a second trip across town.
- The garment itself. Nothing can be quoted properly from a description alone.
- The shoes you will wear. A hem pinned in trainers will be wrong in heels. This is the most common cause of a second trip.
- The underlayers. For gowns especially. The bodice is fitted over what you will actually wear underneath.
- Your curtain drop. Measured from the track or pole down to where you want them to finish, not from the top of the fabric.
- Your deadline. If there is a date, say so at the counter. Same-day work is available for straightforward jobs.

Often, yes - a same-day service is available and it's advertised in the window, with terms and conditions. Straightforward jobs such as a hem or a simple take-in are the usual candidates. Ring 07582 633343 before you set off and you'll be told honestly whether today is realistic for your garment.
No. You can walk in during opening hours and there's a fitting room on site, so you can be measured while you're there. For wedding dresses and made-to-measure work it is worth ringing first, because those need more than one appointment.
The garment, and the shoes and underlayers you'll actually wear with it - a hem pinned in trainers will be wrong in heels. For curtains, bring the measurement from the track or pole down to where you want them to finish.
You'll be given a price at the counter, before any work starts, once the garment has been looked at. Prices aren't published here because the same job on two different garments genuinely isn't the same job - the reviews consistently describe the pricing as fair.
You'll be told so, and you won't be charged for work that shouldn't be attempted. That is the whole point of bringing it in to be looked at first.
